Neltharion used the Dragon Soul to kill hundreds of demons in the War of the Ancients, but then turned on the night elves and attacked them as well. When Malygos attempted to destroy it, Neltharion killed nearly all of the blue dragons, rendering them almost extinct.

The pure power of the Dragon Soul tore Neltharion's body apart, and he had to have metal plates bolted on to keep him together. The Old Gods wanted this portal open as it would release them from their prisons. The Stormrage brothers, Malfurion and Illidan , used the Dragon Soul's power to destroy the portal, sundering the world and forming the Maelstrom in the Well's place.

Everybody was dead and the Demon Chain was sparkling right there next to me at 49, 28!

Easiest quest ever. Comment by jfoobar Just fly around Thundermar near where the map marker tells you to fly, looking for three gryphon nests, two with small gryphons in them and one with just eggs.

The dead guy and the demon chain are on the ground on the ridge right behind these nests. You will draw aggro from one non-elite when you pick it up, that's it.
